Beaches - Rhodes Island
|
The extremely long and large beach of Afandou is 22 kilometres south-east from the City of Rhodes, in front of the village of the same name where visitors can practice golf at the golf course of the village. The beach is made of sand and pebbles and doesn't have any facilities or rentals which make it less crowded than other beaches of Rhodes. Its deep, clear sparkling waters are ideal for swimming and remain quite fresh even under the hot sun. Some fine greek taverns can be found nearby the beach and, in the village, visitors will find even more taverns and all kinds of accommodations.

Faliraki nudist Beach
Faliraki nudist beach is at the very southern end of the resort as you head into the hills. It can only be reached via a path that takes you over a hill and then winds down to sea level. Once you arrive you will find a nice secluded beach, small bar, sun loungers and umbrellas.. Regular naturists will tell you that we are what we are and its certainly true you will not find anyone staring or anything like that. If you are visiting Rhodes and have considered a nudist beach before but have never tried it, you could choose a lot worse than Faliraki nudist beach as your first. If you are an experienced naturist and intend using the beach daily, there are several hotels and apartments very close to Faliraki nudist beach. Hotel Matina is probably the best of these and it will take you just 10 minutes from reception to beach. |
